8 30 pm. Smoke. Darkness. And a dark, dark theme. A trilogy of broken spine, wolf pack and catharsis. A futuristic collection in black, gold and silver, Rajesh Pratap Singh mostly showed shift dressed with strong padded shoulders and interesting detailing on the back. Every garment had a stellar back – while some had spinal cord like structure attached to it, others had patterned ones. Fish scale texture was predominant to create a 3D look that matched the 3D lips of the models created by glitter lipstick, much like Givenchy’s Autumn Winter 2011 show. Spikey Mohawk hair pieces added to the drama.
Trend alert: Shift dresses, because they are simple and elegant. Power shoulders, because they instantly give your frame a lift and look super hot. Something tells me fohawk (ie, mohawk for females) will be big in the coming season because I saw quite a few designers use it). And the glitter lips only if you are partying at some uber cool spot and want to look ultra fashion forward.
