Last week, I caught up with the gorgeous Mugdha Godse, who had come down to Bangalore to walk the ramp for old pal and designer Wendell Rodricks’ show at a private event. The Fashion actress wore a stunning flowy gown with a plunging back (see picture above) which was enough to make the crowd go berserk. Post the show, while she was unwinding with a drink, I couldn’t resist asking the model turned actress about all things that make her style meter tick. She told me becoming a style diva is not difficult for her. Read on to know why.
My style has changed a bit.
It’s become a little Bollywoodish. But when I felt it’s not working and is not comfortable, I come back to my own fashion. Bollywood has become really fashion oriented. So becoming a fashion diva is easy for me.
Not a slave to brands:
I don’t have a favourite brand, but I like anything that’s comfortable.
I can get ready for a date in half an hour.
I would wear a nice floral colourful dress and keep my make up and hair simple and basic.
A fashion no no:
Wearing something only because it’s a brand and not being comfortable in it.
Fave Indian designers:
Wendell Rodricks, Gauri Nainika, Abu Jabi Sandeep Khosla, Neeta and Nishka Lulla, Masaba
It depends on my mood. I will say it’s simple and comfortable.
I’m not really a shoe person. I don’t like big heels (not that I need them, but everyone wears them) and always look for small heels. So I have limited options.
I can shop in a jungle also…
I pick up whatever I like. I like shopping abroad as you can personally go and pick up stuff. Here, our stylists shop for us. I have started shopping online a lot.
Style advise to fans: Be comfortable in whatever you are wearing. Don’t follow a trend; make one.
